1. How does Al Pacino's character talk about himself in his speech? 

Al Pacino's Character talks about himself by telling us about his life, and all the mistakes he made. He does this to tell his team what mistakes not to make in life.

2. What effect does this have on the speech? (Use Quotes in your answer).

By having Al Pacino's characters mistakes in the speech e.g. "I made every wrong choice a middle age man could make. I uh.... I pissed away all my money believe it or not." He tells his team what mistakes what not to make, and he is also being honest. The effect that this has on the speech is that it adds depth.
