As an evil, and very serious civilization. We can tell this by the red sky which symbolizes the evil culture of the Germans, and the symmetrical, brown buildings which show that the German Nazi's are very serious.

the irony about the song lyrics is that the song is supposed to be representing a superior and strong race although the way the Germans act in the opening scene represent the way a superior race wouldn't live and act.
